A supergroup is a band formed by members who are world-famous for other projects, and recently we've seen many artists come together to create a new sound. With that in mind, we've compiled a list of the eleven best supergroups to celebrate the diverse projects of our favorite artists!

Some are already well-known to us, such as Travelling Wilburys, Velvet Revolver, and Audioslave, which was considered the best supergroup in the Wikimetal poll. But others were founded recently, such as Prophets of Rage and Legend Of The Seagullmen, a group formed by members of the bands Tool and Mastodon, which made its debut this year with a self-titled album.

Check out our list of the best supergroups and leave other names that could be on the list in the comments!
