The musicians were recently in Brazil
The Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela, famous for their incredible guitar skills, were recently in Brazil to open a series of shows for pop singer John Mayer and took advantage of their visit to perform on the show The Noite with Danilo Gentili.
There, Gabriela reveals that the duo's biggest musical influences are Heavy Metal bands. She says that initially their plan was to have a band like Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, or Sepultura. "We like all those bands."
During the interview, Gentili recalls some of the duo's greatest moments, such as the day they performed with Robert Trujillo of Metallica, Marty Friedman, formerly of Megadeth, and the famous multi-instrumentalist, also Mexican, Carlos Santana.
