The guitarist cited Elvis, Chuck Berry, and Bob Dylan as influences

Robby Krieger , legendary guitarist of The Doors Loudwire 's Gear Factor segment and talked about his influences and favorite riffs.

Krieger cited Elvis Presley , Chuck Berry , and other great names in music as influences on his skill as a guitarist. He also spoke about his relationship with Gibson, "The first one I had was the Melody Maker, and it was the cheapest one in the store, you know? But when I started playing, I loved how it sounded."

The guitarist also played some of his favorite riffs like “Love Me Two Times”, “20th Century Fox” and “Roadhouse Blues”. Loudwire also asked him what his favorite cover was and he cited “Light My Fire” in the version by Jose Feliciano .
