Keane and Coldplay . Apparently two bands that have no connection, except for the fact that they have a similar sound.
You may not know the band by name, but their worldwide hit "Somewhere Only We Know" topped the charts and has been streamed over a billion times on Spotify.
Coldplay goes without saying; they are one of the biggest bands of today and have produced some musical classics.
But what connects these two bands?
Twenty years ago, both groups were beginning their journeys in music.
Keane released their most successful album, Hopes and Fears , and a year later, Coldplay released their third album, titled X&Y .
Tim Rice-Oxley , who played keyboards in Keane, was a friend of vocalist Chris Martin , and for a time there was an idea to have a keyboardist in Coldplay.
This was eventually dismissed by the Keane musician, who trusted in his band's potential, and Rice-Oxley did not become the band's fifth member. Soon the idea of having a keyboardist in Coldplay was also abandoned.

Keane is coming to Brazil during the month of November, with confirmed dates on November 5th at Teatro Positivo in Curitiba, November 7th at Vivo Rio in Rio de Janeiro, and November 9th at Espaço Unimed in São Paulo. Tickets are available on the official Livepass website.
