The Damnnation released the music video for their single “Slaves of Society” last Friday, the 2nd. The song is part of their debut album, Way Of Perdition (2022). The video was filmed and produced by Starship Videos.
Vocalist and guitarist Renata Petrelli spoke about the concept of the music video: “In this video we decided to make it with a more 'stage' tone to express the idea of anger and anguish that is conveyed in the lyrics, a very evident moment in the country right now.”
In order to continue promoting their first album, the São Paulo-based band will embark on a short tour in Latin America at the end of this year, starting on the 7th in Buenos Aires.
The thrash metal sound of Way Of Perdition was also well-received by critics. "36 minutes later we have a great album and the ever-growing certainty that Brazil remains a breeding ground for good heavy bands," said the website Headbangers News .
Besides Renata, The Damnnation currently consists of bassist Aline Dutchi and drummer Ellen Tavares . Recently, the group announced the departure of drummer Luana Diniz . Ellen Tavares will be responsible for recording the band's new album, scheduled for release in late 2023.
