The Damnnation announced this Wednesday, the 1st, the new drummer from Alagoas, Janaína Melo . She will share the drumming duties with Ellen Tavares .
Janaína will make her debut with the group at the Karranka Festival , which takes place on March 5th in Arujá starting at 3 PM. Admission is free.
The band did not share further details about the addition of the drummer, but revealed that news will be coming soon.
In October, it was announced that drummer Luana Diniz would no longer be part of The Damnnation due to personal and logistical reasons . Ellen, from São Paulo, was announced shortly afterwards as her replacement .
Janaína Melo has previously been a member of the bands Autopse , Pure Hate , and Sinaya . Currently, she also plays in Monsterside .
The Alagoas native is also investing in her solo career. Her most recent single, “Introspection,” can be heard at the end of this article. “The metal single brings together classic and modern elements in its progressive sound, loaded with a lot of weight. The title proposes a deep reflection on lived experiences, and we can perceive how connected or disconnected we are with life, detachment from the ego, and the acceptance that our important evolution will not be shaped by others, but by ourselves,” revealed the drummer (via Mundo Metal ).
The track is featured on Janaína's debut instrumental album, Reborn Of Chaos , which does not yet have a release date. The project includes the lead single of the same name and " Manipulated Minds ".
