After several promises from Robert Smith , The Cure will indeed come to Brazil in 2023! The band is the first act for the Primavera Sound in the country, which takes place for the second consecutive year in the city of São Paulo.
The Cure's only announced performance in Brazil marks the band's return to the country after a decade. The group's last visit here was in 2013, with shows in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.
Scheduled for December 2nd and 3rd at the Interlagos racetrack, Primavera Sound has yet to reveal the date of the British band's performance at the event. They promise to reveal "more acts and ticket sales information soon!".
Since May, the band's lead singer has already given fans a heads-up about plans to perform in Latin America this year. Among the destinations mentioned are Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Mexico.
In the case of Argentina, the band was also announced as a headliner for Primavera Sound there, alongside Blur , just as happened in the Portuguese edition of the event ( read the review here ).
