This track is part of The Cranberries' final album.
The Cranberries have released a surreal animated video for “Wake Me When It’s Over.” This is the third track from the band’s final album , In The End .
The video follows a woman running through various landscapes, passing a dead lion and an elephant. She slowly transforms into a deer, a polar bear, and so on.
“Fighting is not the answer/ Fighting is not the cure/ It’s consuming you like cancer/ It’s killing you for sure,” the lyrics say. The metaphor can be understood as referring to Dolores O'Riordan and also to nature.
