Led Zeppelin won the case in June

The prosecution that lost the plagiarism lawsuit against Led Zeppelin last year filed a new appeal on Wednesday, the 15th. Attorney Francis Malofiy, who worked on the case in 2016, is returning to request a new trial.

In a 90-page document, Malofiy alleges that the jury's decision was based on several errors that occurred during the process, "the most important of these errors being that the court did not allow the jury to hear the complete and uncut composition of 'Taurus ,' which Jimmy Page owned. Furthermore, the lawyer alleges that the jury members were not properly instructed on copyright law."

Led Zeppelin won the plagiarism case in June, after 15 minutes of jury deliberation, which concluded that Page and Plant had heard Taurus before creating Stairway To Heaven and that there was just cause to sue, but that there was no evidence that the elements of each song were actually similar.
