The Black Keys released "Wild Child" this Thursday, the first single from their new album, Dropout Boogie . The official music video will be released this Friday.

The band's eleventh album is scheduled for release on May 13th. According to Ultimate Classic Rock , all the material was written by guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney , and several tracks that made it onto the album were recorded in one take.

“That’s always been the beauty of what Pat and I do – it’s instantaneous,” Auerbach said in a statement. “We never really had to work on it. Whenever we get together, we make music, you know? We didn’t know what we were going to do, but we were going to do it and it was going to sound cool.”

“It’s the natural chemistry that Pat and I have. Being in a band for this long is a testament to that. It’s a real gift we’ve received. I mean, the chance to live a block and a half apart in Akron, Ohio – it seems crazy to me,” he concluded.
