HammerFall – “(We Make) Sweden Rock”
The official lyric video for “(We Make) Sweden Rock” , the new single from Hammerfall , is now available. The track is part of the upcoming album Dominion , which will be released on August 16th. Vocalist Joacim Cans spoke about the track: “This is a glorious tribute to Swedish hard rock and metal. The lyrics use references to other bands and other music. Without Swedish metal, the world would be a very boring place!”
Volbeat – “Last Day Under The Sun”
Lead singer Michael Poulsen revealed that the lyrics to “Last Day Under The Sun” were inspired by a book about Johnny Cash . “When I read that book, he went through some tough times with alcohol and drugs,” said Michael. “He went into a cave to lie down and die. But he woke up and felt like he’d been given a second chance.”
Baroness – “Borderlines”
Baroness released their new album, Gold & Grey, today, featuring the previously released singles “Borderlines ,” “Seasons,” and “Throw Me an Anchor.” According to frontman John Baizley, this new album is the last to follow the band's chromatic and thematic tone, a tradition they've maintained since 2007 with the Red Album. Two years later came Blue Record, which followed Yellow & Green in 2012 and Purple in 2015.
