All of us who like Heavy Metal know that it's perfectly normal, and even happens quite frequently, for traditional Hard Rock and Metal bands to experiment with elements in some of their songs that lead them to cross the boundary of Heavy Rock and generate sounds that could eventually be characterized as belonging to other styles.
And for the most part, they're great songs.
