I think all of us who love Rock and Heavy Metal have had the strange, yet rewarding experience of being surprised to hear a song we love being played in a completely out-of-context setting. It could be during a wedding party, when that band in suits launches into Crazy Train right after Ray Conniff, or at a graduation party when Europe comes on, or in many other places and situations.
One of those very common situations happens when we're watching a movie and "out of nowhere," one of the anthems we love so much starts playing. It gives us a certain pride. It makes you want to tell people, "That's Slayer playing. And I love them ." And from that moment on, the movie, and more specifically, the scene, is forever etched in our memories.
Who doesn't remember Jack Black driving the van and singing Immigrant Song ? Or the kids headbanging in the car to the sound of Bohemian Rhapsody ?
Therefore, this week Wikimetal decided to list the 11 best rock and metal music appearances in movies. Watch the videos and leave in the comments other songs that should be in this Top 11.
