The device of using a refrain appears in the most ancient musical forms throughout the world, in both popular and secular music as well as religious and classical music.
And good music is good music, with or without a chorus. There are thousands of examples of masterful songs that didn't have a chorus, such as the legendary Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
But this week we want to list the songs that have their high point in the chorus: Songs where we can clearly identify a climb , an ascent , a crescendo until it culminates in the set of phrases that will be repeated several times in the song and will forever mark that anthem in an unmistakable way.
