On Friday the 13th (in February 1970), an event took place that would transform the world: It was the day of the release of Black Sabbath .
However, let's not be fooled:
A cultural movement that has lasted for almost 50 years, that has spread and dominated ALL countries in the world, cannot be the work of just one person, one song, or one band. Rather, it is the result of a set of conditions that allowed this fantastic movement to proliferate across the globe.
However, it is undeniable that those 37 seconds of rain sounds, dramatically accompanied by thunder and ringing bells, left a definitive mark on the creation of the genre, even more so when added to the 3 notes that form the musical interval known as the tritone, in a dissonant effect, forbidden by the Catholic Church, precisely in the first song of Black Sabbath's first album.
Almost 50 years later, we are here to list some of the countless tributes that have been made to this incredible band that undoubtedly helped shape the cultural movement we know today as Heavy Metal .
