The best album covers

Making a list that involves personal taste, on any subject, is always very subjective and generates controversy. Even among the three of us in the Wikimetal Power Trio.

In any case, we really enjoy the exercise of making 11 choices every week because, in addition to forcing us to think about the attributes, it's really cool to see the other names that our WikiBrothers remembered and that also deserved to be on the list.

This week, subjectivity is even greater, as we're choosing the album covers we like best. Whether it's the elaborate visuals, how the cover relates to the album's music, or the impact the cover had on Heavy Metal culture, here are the best album covers according to Wikimetal.

Of course, bands like Iron Maiden or Metallica could easily fill the Top 11 on their own, but we always try to include each band only once on the list to keep it diverse.

Therefore, in the case of Iron Maiden, beautiful and historic album covers such as those for "Killers," "Somewhere In Time," or "The Number Of The Beast" were left out, but of course, they could perfectly well have been on the list.

Leave in the comments other covers that should be in this Top 11:

11. Blackwater Park ( Opeth )

10. Holy Diver ( Dio )

09. Physical Graffiti ( Led Zeppelin )

08. South Of Heaven ( Slayer )

07. Heaven And Hell ( Black Sabbath )

06. Screaming For Vengeance ( Judas Priest )

05. Abigail (King Diamond)

04. Peace Sells… But Who's Buying ( Megadeth )

03. Vulgar Display Of Power ( Pantera )

02. Master Of Puppets ( Metallica )

01. Powerslave ( Iron Maiden )
