The Beatles released a 12-minute mini-documentary telling the story behind the song "Now and Then," the band's "last song."
“Now and Then”, which will be released this Thursday, the 2nd, is originally a demo recorded by John Lennon in 1978. In the material, John appears singing and playing piano in his apartment in the Dakota building in New York.
In 1994, widow Yoko Ono gave the recording to McCartney, George Harrison , and Ringo Starr . The surviving members, along with producer Jeff Lynne , recorded new parts and completed a version of "Now and Then".
Now, thanks to artificial intelligence, McCartney and Starr have managed to isolate and process John Lennon's voice. The result will be remembered as "the last Beatles song".
