From the beginning of their discography, acclaimed as "The Kings of Rock and Roll," to the dream that ultimately swept through all the psychedelia of the late 60s, the Beatles invented everything. Simply everything.
And if that's true, they must have invented Heavy Rock as well. If they didn't invent it, they certainly influenced it. It's no coincidence that almost everyone cites the Liverpool quartet as a major influence. From Ozzy to Andreas Kisser. From Ian Gillan to Mike Portnoy. From Zakk Wylde to Glenn Hughes. From Scott Ian to Alex Skolnick.
So this week we decided to list the heaviest Beatles songs. Those that we feel already contained the ingredients that made Black Sabbath , Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple (among others) forge the movement that has endured strong for over 45 years.
Check out our list of the heaviest Beatles songs and leave your own list in the comments!
