The 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony has been officially postponed; see the new date here.

Code Orange, Power Trip, Poppy and more will be competing at the "Oscars of music".

Due to the continued severity of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the United States, the Recording Academy , responsible for the Grammy Awards , announced the postponement of the event.

Originally, the "Oscars of music" were scheduled for the 31st, however, they will now take place on March 14th, still with the pandemic protection and restriction measures in place.

"The worsening Covid-19 situation in Los Angeles, with overwhelmed hospital services, full ICUs, and new guidelines from state and local governments, led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do," says the official announcement made by the event.

"Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly to produce the show," click here to read the full statement.

Metal will be represented at the awards ceremony, with Code Orange, Poppy, Body Count, Power Trip , and In This Moment competing to see who will take home the coveted award in the "Best Metal Performance" .
