Testament , Exodus , and Death Angel have had to cancel their scheduled show in Italy. The Bay Area thrash metal icons were set to perform today, the 25th, in Milan.

Italian authorities have cancelled public events in that region as a precaution against the spread of the coronavirus.

On their official Twitter account, Testament wrote: “EMERGENCY – The show in Milan, Italy scheduled for 2/25 has been CANCELLED due to public health concerns.”

Many cities in northern Italy have been placed on maximum alert after more than 200 cases of coronavirus were confirmed.

Testament's record label, Nuclear Blast, also commented on Twitter that the cancellation order came from the President of the Lombardy region.

Death Angel, while announcing the cancellation on their Instagram, took the opportunity to confirm the three-band show that took place last night in Zurich, Switzerland. The band was nominated for Best Metal Performance at this year's Grammy Awards.

Testament is set to release their new album on April 3rd. Titans of Creation is available for pre-order here .
