Shock is expected to be released in the second half of 2018.
The band Tesla has revealed that they will release their ninth studio album, Shock , in the fall, which is spring in Brazil.
The successor to Simplicity (2014) is being produced by Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen, who also participated in the composition of the track “Save That Goodness,” released in August 2016.
During an interview on Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon, guitarist Frank Hannon said that Phil has been a great help to the band, as he is always encouraging the members to try new things and have fun in the new project.
Jeff Keith, vocalist for Tesla, also spoke about Phil's work during a conversation with The Salt Lake Tribune, saying that the band had never worked the way they are working today, "It's a lot of fun because you can have your ideas, take them home and think about them for two days... It was really fun doing it this way and it's the first time we've created something like this," he says.
Tesla is currently working on their new album, Shock, while awaiting Styx's tour with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, which the band will be supporting in May.
