The track is part of the successor to Simplicity, Shock.

Recently , Tesla announced that they are preparing a new studio album, the successor to Simplicity (2014), and released the first single , “Taste Like”.

Now, the group has released “California Summer Song,” which will be part of Shock . The album is produced by Phil Collen of Def Leppard and will be released on March 8th by UMe. According to guitarist Frank Hannon, the track is a song for fans to listen to and remember their summer, “Music is the soundtrack of your life. A song can teleport you to the past.”
