The show was to be in Milan
Five Finger Death Punch cancelled their show scheduled for the 22nd in Milan due to rumors of ISIS attacks. The warning came from the International Business Times , which claimed to have received information from the activist hacker group Anonymous.
IBT reported that ISIS was planning several attacks on the 22nd, one of which would take place at the Five Finger Death Punch concert. The band released the following statement:
“As you may know, rumors have been circulating that our show in Milan on the 22nd would be a target for the next wave of terrorist attacks like the one we saw in Paris. We did our best in this short space of time to work with local promoters and authorities to ensure adequate security. Unfortunately, we did not receive confirmation in time that met our requirements for our fans' safety. Therefore, we are forced to postpone the show to a future date. Stay tuned for more information.”
The Anonymous group posted a message on Twitter saying that they had not spread information about upcoming ISIS attacks and that they had no information about the origin of the rumors.
