Last Thursday, the 9th, Tenacious D released a medley based on The Who 's 1969 Tommy .
Jack Black and Kyle Gass performed the tracks “Pinball Wizard”, “There’s A Doctor”, and “Go To Mirror” amidst sonic nods from the album. The video was directed by Liam Lynch.
According to the band, the medley will also be released as a seven-inch vinyl record, with proceeds from sales going to Everytown for Gun Safety , an American NGO that fights for awareness of gun control in the country.
Meanwhile, Tenacious D also promotes its line of cereal bars, called Tenacious D Fibre D'Lish . Their advertisements highlight the high fiber content of the bar, resulting in some quite entertaining commercials.
The duo's most recent album, Post-Apocalypto , was released in 2018.
