Tenacious D , the comedy rock band formed by actor Jack Black and Kyle Gass , covered the classic Oasis , "Champagne Supernova," during the show that closed the British leg of their tour, The Spicy Meatball , in Brighton, a city in southeast England, last Monday, the 13th.
The track that closes Oasis' second studio album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), was incorporated into the group's 18-song set in the middle of their performance of "Double Team," a song released in 2001.
In addition to the Oasis cover, Tenacious D also performed versions of "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak and "Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy .
Another highlight of the show was during the encore, when Black and Gass performed a cover of Britney Spears "...Baby One More Time".
