Ted Nugent tested positive for COVID-19 last Monday, the 19th, and finally acknowledged the existence of the pandemic. In his new version of events, the guitarist accused the press of distorting his words and called the World Health Organization (WHO) a "liar".
On more than one occasion, Nugent downplayed the death toll and spoke out against vaccination and the use of masks, as well as opposing any social distancing or isolation measures.
Still coughing, the guitarist revealed an improvement in his symptoms during a live stream on Friday, the 23rd . “The Chinese attack doesn’t stand a chance against your beloved Uncle Ted,” he joked before thanking everyone for the support he’s received in recent weeks. “Now let’s talk about the Satanic cult claiming I denied the existence of the Chinese virus, unbelievable.”
The musician refuted allegations that his speech was racist against Asians, as Sebastian Bach pointed out on social media , using the Spanish Flu as an example to justify the term "Chinese virus." "Because it's from China. That's not racism, China isn't a race, it's a nationality. I've always acknowledged that there was a virus from China, they call it COVID-19 ," he argued. It's important to note that the Spanish Flu did not originate in Spain , but became known as such due to extensive media coverage of the disease in the country.
According to a new live stream on Nugent's profile, the media distorted his claims about the pandemic. The musician also maintains that there is a government and World Health Organization conspiracy to create panic among the population. "The rumor and the fraud are lying pieces of shit like Anthony Fauci, Joe Biden and the WHO, (...) I've always said that," he exclaimed.
