In a YouTube livestream on Thursday, the 17th, Ted Nugent talked about his anti-drug and anti-alcohol lifestyle and mentioned some experiences he had with rock stars like Jimi Hendrix and Bon Scott.
AC/DC vocalist was always drunk and always offered him drinks to "loosen up." "Jimi Hendrix offered me heroin and I said, 'No, thank you. No way.' Bon Scott from AC/DC offered me all the Jack Daniel's he had," Nugent recounted. "I was recording Weekend Warriors , it must have been in 1979, and they were recording Highway To Hell . We used to play together all the time and he was always drunk."
“He’d always say, ‘Nugent, here. Take a sip of this. It’ll relax you.’ As if I needed to relax any more. He can’t imagine how relaxed a human being can be because the whiskey has clouded their senses. I’m the relaxed guy, you’re the drooling guy,” he continued.
Ted Nugent also mentioned that many of the people who were his biggest influences used drugs in front of him. "And I admired them a lot," he added. He also revealed that he is very good friends with Wayne Kramer , despite their disagreements "about the use of marijuana and other intoxicants."
