Taylor Momsen , from The Pretty Reckless , was bitten by a bat while performing in Seville, Spain, opening for AC/DC .

The peculiar situation occurred while the band was playing a cover of "Witches Burn" by Death By Rock and Roll .

However, the most unusual part was that Taylor Momsen didn't realize there was a bat on her leg. People in the audience started pointing to something on stage, but the singer was confused until she looked down and saw the animal.

Obviously, this wouldn't go unnoticed by the public, and Taylor herself posted a video on her Instagram – watch the video at the end of this article.

In the video, Momsen can be heard saying, “There’s a damn flying bat on my leg right now. Can someone please help me?” and “I must really be a witch!”, in reference to the song “Witches Burn”.

It was then that members of the band's crew removed the bat from her leg with the help of a stick.

Taylor Momsen gets a new nickname.

After the incident, Taylor Momsen sought medical treatment, since bats are rabies carriers – and this one exhibited unusual daytime activity, which increased suspicions.

In the same video she posted, she also shared images from the hospital receiving doses of the rabies vaccine and photos of the bites the bat left on her.

In the post's caption, Taylor explained what happened in more detail and revealed her new nickname: Batgirl.

“So… ROCK AND ROLL MOMENT… in Seville on Wednesday during 'Witches Burn' between all the songs… a bat flew up on me and clung to my leg… at the moment I was performing and I had no idea until the incredible crowd started screaming and pointing.”

“He was cute, but yes, he bit me… so rabies shots for the next two weeks. Thanks to all the hospital staff who nicknamed me Batgirl after seeing it on the local news that morning.”
