Taylor Hawkins is honored in a video during the 2022 Grammy Awards.

The drummer reportedly received three Grammys on Sunday night, the 3rd, alongside the Foo Fighters

On the evening of last Sunday, December 3rd, the annual Grammy Awards remembered the musicians who passed away over the past year in its traditional "In Memoriam" tribute and reserved a special moment for Taylor Hawkins .

During his speech, host Trevor Noah took a moment to give a brief tribute to the drummer, who was honored with a short video montage containing various moments from his career.

“This would be the time I should be introducing the Foo Fighters,” Trevor said. “We would be celebrating with them the three Grammys they won earlier. But they, of course, aren’t here due to the death of their legendary drummer, Taylor Hawkins. Our thoughts are with Taylor’s family, his friends, his family in the Foo Fighters, and all his fans.”

The night would have been very different for the Foo Fighters , were it not for the recent tragedy of the loss of their drummer. In addition to being scheduled to perform on stage, the band won three major rock awards : “Best Rock Album” with Medicine At Midnight (2021), “Best Rock Performance” with “Making A Fire,” and “Best Rock Song” with “Waiting On A War.”
