In honor of the one-year anniversary of Taylor Hawkins , 100 drummers recently came together to play a special version of "My Hero." The Foo Fighters passed away on March 25 after a toxicology report revealed substances in his body .
“It’s the first time I’ve played with 100 other drummers,” said musician Gino Kesteloot . “It was great, I even got goosebumps all over! Wonderful to honor our hero in this way” (via NME ).
The performance of the classic 1998 single, which can be seen at the end of this article, was done alongside the band Black Box Revelation . “Taylor Hawkins was the best drummer of our time. Honoring him with this tribute was an experience we will never forget,” revealed the Belgian group.
The performance took place at the last venue where the late drummer played in Belgium, the Sportpaleis Antwerp concert hall.
