Lead singer defends band against rumors
In a Twitter post, Slipknot vocalist Corey Taylor clarified rumors that the band is nearing its end. While he hasn't yet explained the situation and reasons for the split with drummer Joey Jordison, Taylor says:
"For those who think The Knot is breaking up, you are completely and sadly mistaken. Bring on 2014. Big things are coming. Stay tuned."
Earlier this month, Slipknot announced the start of work on a new album . The CD will be their first since the death of bassist Paul Gray and the departure of Joey Jordison.
In a recent interview, Taylor said he couldn't share the reasons for the drummer's departure : "It's difficult, but if people can bear with it, we'll explain as soon as possible ," said the vocalist.
Slipknot's new album is scheduled for release in 2014.
