Five months after the death of Tawny Kitaen , at age 59, the cause of death of the actress and model, known for her appearances on album covers and in rock music videos in the 1980s, has been revealed.

According to TMZ , the autopsy performed by the Orange County Coroner recorded the official cause of death as dilated cardiomyopathy, a common heart condition that causes excessive dilation of the heart muscle. Contributing factors to Tawny's death included blocked arteries, antidepressants, sedatives, Tylenol, nerve painkillers, and opioids.

According to the website, there is no evidence that alcohol, drugs, or pills influenced the death, and the possibility of suicide has been ruled out. 

Tawny Kitaen became immortalized in rock history through her appearances on the covers of the albums Ratt (1983) and Out of the Cellar (1984) and in the music video for "Back For More" by Ratt . From her romantic involvement with David Coverdale , to whom she was married between 1989 and 1991, came some of the actress's most memorable works, starring in the music videos for "Is This Love," "Here I Go Again," "Still of the Night," and "The Deeper the Love," becoming known as the " Whitesnake . "
