Singer Tarja Turunen , who arrives in Brazil this week, invites legendary Angra guitarist Rafael Bittencourt and renowned opera singer Thiago Arancam to perform at the Tokio Marine Hall in São Paulo on September 23rd. The performance is part of the Living the Dream – The Hits Tour Brazil 2023 , which will feature the artist's greatest hits.
Rafael Bittencourt is the founder and guitarist of Angra for over three decades, a period in which he has built a solid fan base worldwide. His connection with Tarja Turunen is long-standing, as Rafael has previously recorded tracks with her and participated in concerts, including in Europe. The singer, in turn, immortalized her participation with Angra on the DVD Angels Cry: 20th Anniversary Tour , singing "Stand Away" and "Wuthering Heights" .
Lyric tenor Thiago Arancam became famous, among other things, for playing the Phantom of the Opera during the musical's run in Brazil in 2018. He has performed in major venues around the world, including legendary theaters in Europe, recorded with Plácido Domingo , and worked with renowned orchestra conductors such as Daniel Harding , Christian Thielemann , Pier Giorgio Morandi , and João Carlos Martins , among many others. The symphonic metal band Santo Graal, formed in 2000 in Pará, draws influences from names like After Forever , Nightwish , Epica , Within Temptation , and Iron Maiden . Lumnia, from Rio de Janeiro and formed in 2020, blends elements of modern metal with symphonic and doom metal, seeking to create dark atmospheres with heavy instrumentation and operatic vocals.
