The band Tantum , from Belo Horizonte, released the single “ROJO” on October 3, 2024, inaugurating a new phase with a more intense and elaborate sound.

Written by vocalist Chervona , the song addresses violence against women, focusing on domestic violence, and carries a message of resistance and a search for justice for the victims.

Chervona explains that the references for “ROJO” come from slasher horror films, influencing both the lyrics and the visuals of the track. This is Tantum's first studio release since Turning Tables in 2022, and marks the debut of Jango Brumano on guitar and Rafael Mineiro on drums.

The single is part of a set of four tracks recorded by the band between August and September 2024. The other songs will be released as an EP later this year, with the title and date to be revealed.

All recordings took place at Engenho Estúdio, in Belo Horizonte, with co-production by André Cabelo , resuming the partnership that began on the band's debut album, "Turning Tables".
