System Of A Down, also known by the abbreviation SOAD, was founded in 1994 in California and its classic lineup consists of four descendants of Armenians: Daron Malakian, Serj Tankian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan.
Of their 5 studio albums, 3 debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, proving the enormous commercial success of the band, which has classic anthems in its repertoire such as BYOB , Chop Suey! and Toxicity .
