A petition is calling for the release of unreleased songs by the band

Serj Tankian stated that he is in favor of releasing previously unreleased System of a Down .

The lead singer confirmed he was aware of the recent petition requesting the release of unreleased songs. He said he agreed with the idea, but suggested that other band members might not.

“Releasing unreleased Soad music?”, he asked in a fan comment. “Yes. I’m all for it. Convince everyone else.”

System of a Down's last album, Mesmerize/Hypnotize , was released in 2005.
