The music video for System of a Down's surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube last Friday, the 27th. With this record, the song becomes the first metal song to reach a billion views on the platform.

The classic SOAD song joins Guns N' Roses Linkin Park's "In the End" and "Numb," Nirvana 's "Smells Like Teen Spirit," which have also surpassed 1 billion views.

"Chop Suey!" has been the band's most popular song since it was released as the first single from the album Toxicity in August 2001. After SOAD released their first songs in over 15 years , the success of their other songs gained greater reach.
