Despite System Of A Down vocalist Serj Tankian stating yesterday that there are no guarantees of a new album from the band, in an interview with Kerrang! drummer John Dolmayan said that the group already has 15 songs ready:
“We’ve been working on a new album for the last six months and we have like 15 songs that we think are good for an album. We don’t know what will happen in terms of release, it’s not a 100% finalized plan.”.
Regarding the sound of the composed music, Dolmayan commented:
“We’re playing better than ever and we’re trying new things. We’re not trying to make Toxicity Part 2 just because it was our biggest album to date. It needs to be something for a new generation of SOAD fans, so everyone can see that we’re not living off past success.”.
