Mc Lan surprised his fans at a show last weekend by announcing a completely unexpected collaboration between himself, members of the band System Of A Down , and rapper Criolo .

However, this partnership will not feature the full band, only John Dolmayan and Shavo Odadjian , drummer and bassist of SOAD , respectively.

The track will be part of his new album titled V3NOM , scheduled for release on October 31st.

With the announcement of this collaboration, the internet went into a frenzy, making fans anxious and even those who didn't know him or don't like the genre, became aware of the news.

After the announcement, some fans unearthed a post from 40 weeks ago where Dolmayan had followed MC Lan on Instagram, which at the time sparked rumors of a possible collaboration between them.

This partnership could be a milestone in the musician's career, showcasing his musicality and versatility, and bringing new elements to a genre that was previously criminalized.

This release could also be an important milestone for the national and international scene.

MC Lan and new career

Known for hits like “Rave de Favela” and “Rabetão”, MC Lan has taken other directions in his career, experimenting with new sounds and mixing styles. Furthermore, the MC has been showcasing different perspectives on his social media.

Partnership with SOAD

Even with these changes, what no one expected was that in an announcement made by MC himself, there would be a partnership with the band and the rapper on the way, and that we will be able to check out the release on his new album this month.

The album promises a unique sound, combining heavier styles characteristic of System Of A Down with MC Funk and rapper Criolo's conscious lyrics.

Born into a family passionate about music of various genres (more precisely, country music and Roberto Carlos), she discovered the good life of Rock and Roll at age 11 (she was Emo, but who wasn't?) through school friends, and hasn't stopped since. Hyper-focused (only on things she likes), she discovered genres that weren't popular at the time and became attached to them (yes, I'm a defender of Metal Espadinha, Folk, and Celtic). Involved with music behind the scenes and even on stage, she even played the saxophone (to play Kenny G). Currently, she plays piano and bass and fiercely defends the idea that you can be a metalhead (any kind) and cry to Corazón Partío. She enjoys writing and defending her opinions so much that she became a contributor to the Wikimetal website's writing team.
