Listen to the Postmodern Jukebox version
The blues band Postmodern Jukebox posted a video of a cover of Guns N' Roses' hit " Sweet Child O' Mine" last week. The band, which performs New Orleans blues versions of current songs, just released a CD of 17 covers.
In a recent interview with the British newspaper Metro, guitarist Slash revealed that Sweet Child O' Mine is the band's most lucrative song, due to its numerous cover versions. Regarding these covers, Slash said that many horrify him: “I’m sitting in the dentist’s waiting room and I hear a familiar melody. When I realize it’s someone’s interpretation of something I wrote, it’s a terrifying feeling.”
