After a successful first edition in 2023 , Summer Breeze Brasil will be back in 2024 and aiming even higher.
After bringing in acts like Blind Guardian , Bruce Dickinson , Lamb of God and more, the festival has taken it a step further and announced an extra day for its second edition. Summer Breeze Brasil 2024 will take place on April 26, 27 and 28 (Friday to Sunday) again at the Memorial da América Latina.

The complete line-up
The Summer Breeze lineup has been fully revealed, and this year there has been a 45% increase in the number of artists compared to the festival's first edition in Brazil.
The event organizers promised a "surprise attraction" which was revealed last Wednesday, the 17th. Gene Simmons and his band are coming to Brazil for a concert, originally scheduled for Sunday, but due to scheduling conflicts, as reported by Veja magazine , the group will perform on the first day of the festival.
Mercyful Fate , previously confirmed for Friday, will now play on Sunday.
In addition to these, the headliners are Mr. Big and Sebastian Bach on the first day, Within Temptation , Epica and HammerFall Anthrax and Killswitch Engage on the third day .
“With the addition of Gene Simmons Band , an adjustment is necessary to better fit the festival’s full schedule. As a result, Mercyful Fate will perform on Sunday (28). Therefore, those who purchased tickets for Friday because of Mercyful Fate can exchange them through Clube do Ingresso.”, said Claudio Vicentin.
Another addition to the lineup is Flotsam & Jetsam , a thrash metal band, who will be making their national debut.
Summer Breeze Brazil follows the European festival model, seeking to bring in mid-sized bands instead of metal giants. Answering questions about the size of the 2024 headliners, Vicentin clarified: “We grew up listening to Iron Maiden , KISS , Judas Priest , but those bands will end. And it won't be long, unfortunately. We have to continue carrying that legacy forward, regardless of those bands.”
“The bands that played at Summer Breeze aren’t that new,” he adds. “They’ve been seeking that headliner spot for years and years. Summer Breeze does that; it brings bands to headline when their time has come. We can’t just live off bands from the 80s. I think that’s a characteristic the metal community needs to understand.”

SUMMER LOUNGE CARD:
Ticket that grants access to the festival's premium area for a single day, which will feature exclusive spaces and services.

The festival's official Instagram page has released a discount coupon for those who haven't yet purchased their tickets. Before finalizing your purchase, simply enter SUMMER 17 in the "Promotional Code" field for a 17% discount on any ticket type.
The promotion is valid throughout the month of January.
New Blood Contest
In 2023, Brazilian bands participated in a contest where they submitted their material to the organization, and the finalists participated in a public vote to choose who they wanted to see perform at the festival.
The winning band was Electric Gypsy , and in the 2024 edition, bands from all over Latin America will be able to participate. The submitted material will be analyzed by a curatorial team, and the winning group will perform at Summer Breeze Brazil .
Free Pass Entretenimento is no longer part of the festival's organization. In 2023, it was responsible for making the event possible, but the event organizers stated that SILVERDUST GmbH and Consulado do Rock will continue the project.

Summer Breeze Brazil will bring some innovations and improvements to the 2024 edition. Among them, drinking fountains with free water and a podcast with information about the festival.
“We realized in practice the need to improve some architectural aspects of the festival for 2024. Therefore, we are redesigning some aspects of the project in order to improve the circulation of the public, especially those with reduced mobility. In addition, we have made changes to the distribution of restrooms and the sound engineering. Our aim is to refine details each year to always bring an even better experience than the previous year,” said Vicentin.
A festival focused on experience, with activations and gastronomic diversity
The Brazilian edition of Summer Breeze imports the 25-year tradition of the European festival, whose objective is to create "a family-friendly space, with easy access, activities and activations in addition to unforgettable shows and gastronomic experiences," according to Rick Dallal.
More than just music, Summer Breeze is an experience. In 2024, the organization will present even greater gastronomic diversity, featuring German cuisine, as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
The successful activities and activations from 2023 will also return for the 2024 edition. These include the geek culture, urban culture, and tattoo fairs, as well as the Horror Expo, which was a hit in the first edition. There will also be merchandising stands, a rest area, and a kids' area with toys, supervision, and musical initiation, as well as a space for autograph sessions with some of the festival's bands.
The Waves Stage will be open to the public and will focus on national acts
In the 2023 edition, the Waves Stage was located inside an auditorium with limited capacity and access only for those who had purchased a Lounge ticket.
In 2024, the stage will be open to the public and will focus on national acts, also featuring workshops with some of the artists from the lineup. It will be located outdoors, just like the Hot, Ice, and Sun stages. The aim is to showcase national bands that don't get as much exposure in Brazilian concert venues.
