Frontman talks about the change

Suicide Silence vocalist Hernan “Eddie” Hermida spoke in an interview about the band's new sound, which has been the target of criticism from the fanbase.

Suicide Silence has been receiving complaints after the release of "Doris ," a single from the band's upcoming self-titled album, scheduled for the 24th. One fan even started a petition to prevent them from releasing the new work .

Hermida said that the band needs new challenges: “We really took a step further and made an album that challenged us. And it will be a challenge for our fans too, for people who are used to hearing a certain sound.”

If we didn't do this, we'd be doing a disservice to the band's name. By making a self-titled album, we're telling our fans that this is who we are now.”.

Suicide Silence's new album was produced by Ross Robinson, who has previously worked with Korn, Sepultura, and Slipknot.
