The deathcore band Suicide Silence recently released the music video for their new single "Alter Of Self," which is full of psychotropic drugs and zombification.

The track is part of the band's seventh studio album, Remember… You Must Die , which will be released on March 10th via Century Media . The album was produced and mixed by Taylor Young , who has previously worked with Nails , Xibalba , and Vitriol . The cover art was created by artist David Van Gough .

Regarding the single “Alter Of Self”, guitarist Mark Heylmun comments: “Musically, it’s a step in a much more melodic direction than the tracks we’ve released recently. It speaks a very different language, but it still has the bone-shaking groove and breakdowns you’d expect from us.”

“Lyrically, the song isn’t difficult to interpret. It’s about using such a large dose of hallucinogenic substances that you start worshipping yourself like a god,” he concludes.
