Suicidal Tendencies lands in Brazil with the Nós Somos Família . One of the biggest names in hardcore/crossover will perform on July 12th in Rio de Janeiro, July 13th in São Paulo at the Esquenta Rockfun Fest (sold out), July 14th in Curitiba, July 16th in Florianópolis, and July 17th in Belo Horizonte.
The tour marks the debut of the new lineup featuring the iconic Mike Muir on vocals, Jay Weinberg (ex- Slipknot ) on drums, and Tye Trujillo (son of Robert Trujillo , original bassist of Suicidal Tendencies , now in Metallica ) on bass. The tour has an exclusive stop in Brazil at the band's request and, in Muir's own words, to "repay the affection of the Brazilian public over the years."
To promote the shows, Mike Muir assembled a team of Brazilian musicians and athletes to record the single "Nós Somos Família" (We Are Family). Scheduled for release in the first half of June, the track features Badauí ( CPM22 ), B Negão ( Planet Hemp ), João Gordo, Rodrigo Lima ( Dead Fish ), Supla , Fernanda ( Crypta ), Marcão Britto and Thiago Castanho ( Charlie Brown Jr ), world skateboarding champions Sandro Dias and Pedro Barros , and several other musicians from the national underground/alternative scene.
