An American professor was praised by Tool for letting his student skip class to see the band perform.
In a Reddit , the 12-year-old student's father explained how his wife asked the teacher about the lesson.
“My wife emailed the director of my son’s high school band. She assured him that he wouldn’t miss rehearsal the next day,” he explained.
Since the show served as a music lesson in itself, the teacher was happy to allow the student's absence.
“If that exists, Tool is a good reason to skip class,” the professor replied. “My only response is, ‘take me with you!’”.
The professor added: “I’m dying of jealousy that he’ll have this opportunity and I won’t punish him for going to the show. How is he? Did you like the new album?”
