The band will be performing in Las Vegas
The rockabilly trio Stray Cats, consisting of Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, and Slim Jim Phantom, has announced that they will be returning to the stage after almost 10 years since their last reunion.
The group's first performance will take place on April 21st at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend at The Orleans Hotel, Las Vegas, where the band will headline the festival. There is still no information about a possible new album or tour.
Known for hits like “Stray Cat Strut” and “Rock This Town,” the Stray Cats first broke up in 1984 and have reunited sporadically since then. Their most significant comeback was between 1986 and 1993 when the trio released five studio albums.
In addition to participating in shows with colleagues, the band has remained active, with Setzer continuing with his project The Brian Setzer Orchestra. Slim Jim was part of The Head Cat with Lemmy from Motörhead, and Rocker often spends his time in the studio, frequently accompanied by friends such as Ringo Starr, Keith Richards, and Willie Nelson.
