The Brazilian stoner metal band StormSons has been confirmed as an act for Rock in Rio , and will perform on the Rock District stage on September 8th.
The group consists of Cadu Pelegrini ( Kiara Rocks ), Bruno Luiz ( Command6 and Supla ), Henrique Baboom ( Supla ), Mateus Schanoski ( Golpe de Estado ), and Rodrigo Abelha ( Anjo dos Becos ). StormSons opens the second weekend of Rock in Rio, as does Rodrigo Santos .
The Rock District and Rock Street are iconic areas of the music festival and this year will feature great attractions, including a supergroup called All Stars Rock Band , formed by Dinho Ouro Preto , Andreas Kisser , João Barone , PJ and Liminha .
In addition to StormSons, shows by Oitão , Malvada , Lucy Alves , Fernando Badauí , Deia Cassali , Thiago Fragoso , Di Ferrero , Rogerio Flausino , and others have also been confirmed.
“In 2022, the public will be reunited with two of the most beloved spaces in the City of Rock,” says Marisa Menezes , artistic director of Rock District and Rock Street. “We will have a Rock District with attractions already well-known to the public, who are preparing new and relaxed shows that reveal a little more about their personal tastes, practically a B-side of their careers. Rock Street, on the other hand, will be diverse and multicultural, in a true tribute to the Mediterranean. The set design will be rich in elements and details representing the countries of the region.”
