The singer had participated in The X Factor
Stone Temple Pilots have finally announced their new vocalist. After keeping the name a secret for almost a month, the band played their first show with Jeff Gutt on vocals at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
Gutt previously participated in the show The X Factor and was in the band Dry Cell.
The band opened with the song "Down" by Stone Temple Pilots, which begins with the phrase "Pleased to meet you, nice to know me.".
The challenge of filling Scott Weiland's shoes is enormous, but apparently the band seems to have made a good choice judging by the reaction of the audience at the Troubadour, which was composed only of fans who won tickets through promotions.
