Stone Temple Pilots releases new song; listen to “Roll Me Under”

The track is part of the band's new studio album

Stone Temple Pilots have announced they will release a new studio album, their first without vocalist Scott Weiland, who passed away in 2015.

“Roll Me Under”, as well as the recently released “Meadow”, features Jeff Gutt on vocals and both tracks will be part of the band's self-titled album.

“These riffs have been playing in my mind for years and now seems like the right time to record and present them ,” said bassist Robert DeLeo.

Following the release of the album, scheduled for March 16th, Gutt and the band will perform a series of shows in the United States which, according to guitarist Dean DeLeo, will feature an unexpected setlist full of covers and songs that have never been played live before.

Speaking about the band, Jeff Gutt says he is dedicated to honoring the legacy of all the members of Stone Temple Pilots and is excited to be part of this new phase of the band.

Jeff Gutt made his debut with Stone Temple Pilots at a show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, California , where they first performed the single "Meadow".

The band's original vocalist, Scott Weiland, left the band in 2013 and was replaced by Chester Bennington. Two years later, Weiland was found dead on his tour bus.

Bennington was with the band for two years before deciding to dedicate himself to Linkin Park. Since then, Stone Temple Pilots had been searching for a new vocalist.
