The single is Jeff Gutt's first with the band
Stone Temple Pilots released the lyric video for their new single "Meadow," the first the group has worked on with new vocalist Jeff Gutt.
In an interview with Billboard, guitarist Dean DeLeo revealed that the instrumental part was already finished when Gutt auditioned for the band, and then they gave him the song to sing.
“He wrote the lyrics that same day along with five other tracks. It was impressive ,” DeLeo recalls.
The band already has 14 new tracks for their new album, but DeLeo and Gutt say it's possible that only some of them will make it to the final version. The album's name and release date have not yet been announced.
Jeff Gutt made his debut with Stone Temple Pilots at a show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, California , where they first performed the single "Meadow".
